Our Working Group strives to enhance capacity at the Community level.

MIHCEMI's activities center around identifying and bringing relevant knowledge and expertise to Community Housing departments for their use and implementation.

The Manitoba Indigenous Housing Capacity Enhancement and Mobilization Initiative (MIHCEMI) serves as a vital bridge between strategic housing goals and the practical, day-to-day realities of on-reserve management. By prioritizing Indigenous-led solutions, MIHCEMI delivers training programs that move beyond generic property management, focusing instead on the unique legal, geographic, and cultural landscapes of First Nations in Manitoba.
